Python Job: Software Engineer

We are seeking a customer-focused problem-solver to expand our programming team.

PURPOSE: Programming, troubleshooting and modifications of web-based and back-end Windows and RDBMS software applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Performs application programming, troubleshooting and testing of Windows-based NetPlus Product software for web-based front and back-end in Java EE environment with Oracle DB, in accordance with objectives, priorities, schedules and standards.

2. Interacts internally and externally to understand customer objectives and assist with identifying suitable software implementation approaches and operational procedures.

3. Uses DevOps tooling for workflow automation, source code configuration management, patch set and build management.

4. Contributes subject matter expertise to support coworkers involved in the product lifecycle support including front-line customer care, deployment, security hardening and sales engineering.

5. At times of resource strain, assists with non-programming technical tasks such as data conversion, product configuration, performance tuning.

6. Provides technical guidance for cross-department collaborations.

7. Performs other duties as assigned by the Business Unit’s supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Web-based cross-browser development. JEE, Java, Javascript.

2. RDBMS (Oracle and MS SQL), Structured Query Language and DDL

3. Windows O/S (server and desktop). Scripting: .bat, PowerShell, PERL or python

4. An ideal candidate is familiar with Eclipse IDE, git or CVS, Pentaho Reports, Kettle

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor degree or higher.

2. Minimum 2 years professional experience involving daily JEE and/or .NET programming and RDBMS.

3. Excellent written and oral English skills (you will be tested before an interview).

4. Demonstrated ability to professionally work across all departments and levels.

5. Security clearance and telecommunications industry experience are desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per month
